NEW YORK – On a digital billboard in the heart of Manhattan’s Times Square, a face familiar to the Two River area went live. Michelle Bennett, executive vice president and co-founder at Newport Capital Group in Red Bank, was featured on the NASDAQ building’s façade as part of her recognition as a 2025 Influential Women in Institutional Investing.

Bennett was honored by Pensions & Investments, a national magazine covering retirement and investment management, which partnered with NASDAQ to highlight this year’s award recipients.

Bennett’s career began in private wealth management, working closely with business owners, a path that ultimately led to retirement plan consulting. Many clients had questions about workplace retirement savings plans, an area that drew her attention because of the broad impact on American workers.

“The impact we can make through retirement plan consulting extends far beyond what we can do in our private wealth business. It allows us to touch far more lives, helping individuals build financial security and peace of mind for the future.” Bennett said.

In 2004, Bennett joined Domenic DiPiero, president and co-founder, to launch an advisory practice that now manages nearly $20 billion in assets.

Bennett credits her success to the talented and dedicated team at Newport Capital Group, whose shared commitment to excellence and client service has fueled the firm’s growth. She also points to her own passion for making a meaningful impact, her determination to deliver results at the highest level, and her drive to expand opportunities for women in a traditionally male-dominated field.

Now in its third year, the Influential Women in Institutional Investing Awards recognizes women who are reshaping leadership in the investment world through professional achievement, mentoring, and advancing equity.

As part of the celebration, an awards gala was held Sept. 18 at the Ritz-Carlton in Chicago. Honoree photos were also displayed during NASDAQ’s Sept. 22 bell-ringing ceremony.
