Ranney Girls’ Tennis Team Earns 4th Straight Sectional Title

TINTON FALLS – The Ranney School varsity girls’ tennis team captured its 4th straight NJSIAA Non-Public B South Sectional Championship during a very close match at Moorestown Friends School on Monday. While Natalie Cantave successfully defeated Moorestown 6-3, 6-3 at 2nd Singles and Giulia DiGuglielmo earned a 6-0, 6-1 victory over her opponent at 3rd Singles, Ranney’s 2nd Doubles team comprised of Rachel Burstiner and Paulina Braka played the teams deciding match. Together, Burstiner and Braka won their first and third sets 7-6,(7-4), 6-3, and guided the Lady Panthers to a 3-2 triumph over Moorestown.

“I am so proud of the girls for all the hard work and effort they are bringing to the court this season,” said Head Coach Christel Contrera.
The girls play Newark Academy in the NJSIAA Non-Public B State Championships on Wednesday, October 19 at Mercer County Park (Rain date scheduled for October 20th).
