Red Bank Catholic first baseman Jack Scrivanic has found his college home prior to his senior year with the Caseys. Scrivanic has given a verbal commitment to play Division I baseball at Wagner. Scrivanic put up impressive numbers in his junior campaign hitting .293 with four homers, 28 RBIs and slugging .524.

“I chose Wagner College because I wanted to play in the Northeast Conference and it’s close to home so my family can come and watch me play,” Scrivanic told The Two River Times. “I also loved the beautiful stadium where all the home games are played. During my visit and walking the campus I felt very comfortable and I knew I wanted to further my education at Wagner.”

Scrivanic proved himself against elite competition. He laced a double against Vanderbilt signee Jack Leiter of Delbarton and had a two-homerun, five-RBI game against Middletown South in his sophomore season. He helped RBC win a Shore Conference title in 2019 and will be one of the leaders on coach Buddy Hausman’s squad next spring.

Scrivanic said he is grateful to Hausman and Red Bank Catholic for putting him in a position to play college baseball at the Division I level.

“Playing baseball at Red Bank Catholic gave me this Division I opportunity because the coaching staff at RBC has always pushed me to do my best and has made me into a confident and disciplined player,” Scrivanic said. “After meeting the Wagner coaches I felt as if my baseball career will continue to grow and strengthen with them. I am looking forward to joining this great program.”
