RUMSON – Nearly every high school in New Jersey has collected uniforms and is putting a close to the spring sports season, but Rumson-Fair Haven athletic director Chris Lanzalotto is the busiest man in the Garden State thanks to an incredible performance by the Bulldogs spring sports teams across the board.

With RFH playing for its first state championship in baseball Saturday morning in Hamilton, over at Hunterdon Central High School, the RFH girls lacrosse team squares off with Mountain Lakes in the Group 1 state championship. The RFH/Mountain Lakes matchup is also set for this Friday in the boys’ Group 1 state title game after the Bulldogs won a section title Tuesday at home over Bernards. It’s possible that Rumson could boast three state championships this weekend.

The boys’ tennis team won its first section championship in 15 years with a 3-2 win over Holmdel. The boys’ and girls’ track teams both finished second in their sectional meet last weekend. No matter what the results are this weekend, Rumson-Fair Haven athletics has had a spring season that across the board is truly impressive.
