Cody Fleischer is one of 11 Shore Regional seniors who didn’t get a chance to take the diamond in 2020.
Shore Regional baseball coach Jay Kuhlthau thanked the 11 seniors on the Blue Devils baseball team, including Christian Bauman, James Donohoe, Cody Fleischer, James Gomez, Joseph Graci, Matthew Ippolito, Christopher Krousos, Samuel Martucci, Marc Meloni, Alex Palmberg, Zachary Rivera.
“Seniors, thank you for your hard work, dedication, and commitment to the Shore Regional High School baseball program over the past four years. During the most unusual of circumstances, you have kept your heads held high and your outlook positive despite what most of us feared would eventually happen. Everyone prepares year-round for their opportunity and to have it taken away in this fashion is truly unthinkable. Use this as a life lesson to motivate and propel you to be great in the rest of your lives and to never take anything for granted. You never know when it will be over.
Best of luck to all of you in your future endeavors! Continue to make us proud and to represent the program with grace, humility, and dignity. Once a Blue Devil, always a Blue Devil, only a Blue Devil!”
