RED BANK – Nearly four months after its scheduled launch April 8, Sickles will open the doors of its new 8,000-square-foot market on the West Side at 10 a.m. Aug. 6. The store is located in the renovated turn-of-the-century brick Anderson Bros. building at the corner of Monmouth Street and Bridge Avenue. According to Tori Sickles, COVID-19-related issues, including stay-at-home orders, supply chain disruptions and vendor availability, impacted the opening of the family-owned business.

But now, with just over a week until they welcome customers, “there’s product on shelves which is exciting,” said Sickles. “My family and I have been waiting a long time for this.”

Initially the market’s hours will be 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., offering in-store shopping, curbside pickup, personal shopping and delivery. After a few weeks, the operating time will expand to include breakfast hours. A Booskerdoo Coffee & Baking Co. cafe, located within the store, will be open at 6 a.m. weekdays and 7 a.m. on weekends.

Customers visiting the store will notice its deli department, including new recipes from the Sickles’ chefs and exciting surprises with prepared foods, according to Sickles. There will be an entire counter for fresh seafood, an expansion of the grab-and-go seafood available at the Little Silver location, a larger butcher department serving local, sustainable and different cuts of meat, along with the fresh produce Sickles is known for.

Signature products like Sickles’ guacamole, mozzarella and tortilla chips, favorites with customers at the Little Silver market, will be available in Red Bank, said Sickles. Already open since early this year, the adjacent Bottles by Sickles offers fine wine, liquors and craft beer.
