WEST LONG BRANCH – The top-seeded Christian Brothers Academy Colts left no doubt in front of a capacity crowd at Monmouth University, delivering a commanding 58-37 victory over second-seeded Red Bank Catholic to win their first Shore Conference Tournament boys basketball championship since 2010.

HOLMDEL – Not every runner in their career could say they were crowned state champion.

LINCROFT – Just 17 days earlier, Christian Brothers Academy was on the losing side when archrival Red Bank Catholic celebrated winning the Monmouth County baseball crown. This time around, the Colts came out on top – and got the higher-stakes trophy – dispatching the Caseys 11-1 in five innings to win the Non-Public A South championship.

LINCROFT – The young men in the 63rd graduating class of Christian Brothers Academy have officially been conferred their diplomas. The 207 graduates gathered for the commencement exercises May 22 at Brookdale’s Collins Arena.

LINCROFT – Since 1962, Christian Brothers Academy has had three head basketball coaches. The search for number four begins now after the school announced that Geoff Billet will not return behind the bench after completing his 18th season.

Christian Brothers Academy had a good week on the diamond. A really good week.

The Holmdel boys golf team lost head-to-head match-ups with Wall twice in the regular season, then finished third in both the Monmouth County and Shore Conference tournaments trailing the Crimson Knights once again.

Major League teams know New Jersey is a source of great talent, which is why it’s common for scouts to huddle behind the fence watching top players in the high school ranks.

For the 13th straight year, Christian Brothers Academy won the Shore Conference Indoor Winter Track team title, but this time, it didn’t come easy.

Christian Brothers Academy’s vaunted cross country program continues to be one of the best in America.
