HOLMDEL – As the red carpet rolled out at Bell Works, the venue that brought Apple TV+’s series “Severance” to life was transformed into a bustling hub for filmmakers, industry professionals, students and educators for the return of the Monmouth Film Festival (MFF) after a five-year hiatus.

HOLMDEL – There is no denying that California still holds the title, but “Monmouth County, New Jersey is going to become Hollywood East,” predicts Rumson resident and producer George Kolber, whose recent film “Miranda’s Victim” was shot entirely in Monmouth County.

TRENTON – As the revamped bid process to determine whether Netflix eventually builds a new production complex on the former Fort Monmouth plays out, the state has taken actions to boost the state’s film industry.
