RED BANK – Since 2017, the JBJ Soul Foundation and JBJ Soul Kitchen have been hosting a Day of Hope Walk to recognize local charitable organizations that do so much to support Monmouth County residents.

TINTON FALLS – A chilly drizzle could not dampen the festive atmosphere at the Veterans Day Picnic at Soldier On’s Gordon H. Mansfield Veterans Community on Essex Road Nov. 10, sponsored by Netflix in conjunction with JBJ Soul Kitchen of Red Bank. 

The bells will be ringing around the Two River area this Friday as the Salvation Army begins its annual Red Kettle campaign, continuing a tradition that’s been going on for well over a hundred years.

When the Gordon H. Mansfield Veterans Community on Essex Road opened last November, the CEO of its parent organization pledged to forge mutually beneficial relationships between residents and the community. Eight months later, those partnerships are thriving. 

In the juxtaposition of wealth and need, Monmouth County is front and center. And the good work and generosity of residents eager to help was evident at the annual Red Bank Day of Hope Community Walk May 3.

Monmouth County residents woke to more than a foot of snow Jan. 29, with more falling throughout the day along the Jersey Shore. Along with the snow came days of bitter temperatures.
