MONMOUTH COUNTY – Several Two River-area towns will receive a substantial portion of the $6 million in grants awarded by the Monmouth County Board of County Commissioners to support municipal park improvements.

LITTLE SILVER – This November, Little Silver residents will weigh in on the question of open space, both in their community and the county.

SHREWSBURY – In a victory for residents advocating for the preservation of a residential property at 942 Broad St., next to Manson Park, the borough council unanimously voted to purchase the site for open space.

RED BANK – Marine Park is about to transform into a bustling community space.

OCEANPORT – So far, the borough council’s vision of transforming the Maria Gatta Community Park into a thriving youth sports hub is a success, providing the town with a steady stream of income while offering Oceanport sports teams a state-of-the-art facility.

MIDDLETOWN – For most Middletown residents, preserving open space is a priority. That was evident from November’s ballot referendum: Two-thirds of voters supported raising the annual collection rate of the Open Space, Recreation, Floodplain Protections, Farmland and Historic Preservation Trust Fund.
