RED BANK – Nearly six months after attending a community meeting where West Side residents voiced quality-of-life concerns, borough officials returned – this time joined by department heads – for a follow-up community engagement meeting at the senior center.

The New Jersey Department of Human Services just made it a little easier for more residents to receive prescription drug payment relief. While welcomed, some are concerned the expansions are not enough.

Red Bank cares about its residents. That much was clear during the borough council’s first winter conference, as many highlighted the steps being taken to provide for those facing housing and food insecurity and mental health issues, in addition to several code blue initiatives as temperatures drop.

The Jersey Shore is a welcoming location for film and television productions and many would like to keep Atlantic Highlands in the mix. But a proposed high-cost permit fee for filming in the borough could turn Hollywood away.
