The Two River area is a summertime paradise with boardwalks and beaches, national parks and riverfront movies, shopping and entertainment galore. As local and shoreline businesses spruce up their storefronts for a busy summer, we caught up with some Two River area residents to hear how they plan to spend their summer, as pandemic restrictions relax and the excitement of open-air avenues returns.

As the Two River area gears up for peak summer holidays, Red Bank and its neighboring beach towns are expecting an upswing in vacation rental homes.

Members of the Sea Bright Volleyball League are prepping for the upcoming season beginning June 6. More than 1,000 members have signed up to serve, set and spike the ball for the weekly adult volleyball games on the borough’s sands.

With the summer just beginning, now is the time to dig out your sandals and sun hat and head outside to enjoy the delights of summer in New Jersey – it has been a long, long time.

A redevelopment project proposed in 2018 for three riverfront parcels situated in the heart of the borough’s downtown district has changed hands.

Political leaders and legal counsel from neighboring boroughs traded counterpoints and contrasting opinions during a special meeting regarding the potential regionalization of students from Highlands, Atlantic Highlands and Sea Bright.

SEA BRIGHT – Though survey results showed 73 percent of respondents favored the formation of a regionalized school district composed of students from Atlantic Highlands, Highlands and Sea Bright, there is still plenty of discussion to come before the notion is considered for a public referendum.

From March 12 to 27, nine unique flavors designed by students at St. James School will be available for purchase at Gracie and the Dudes ice cream shop in Sea Bright. A portion of the sales will benefit the school.

MONMOUTH COUNTY – While many people spent the end of December enjoying the holidays and making New Year’s Eve plans, mayors in the Two River area were thinking about the 2022 goals for their towns.
