MIDDLETOWN – The Middletown Sports Complex held a Paws in the Pool event Sunday, Sept 8. A fervent dog lover, event coordinator Ali Roussos came up with the idea of a doggy pool party after taking her own dog Jax to many events around New Jersey. She thought what better way to mark the end of the summer than by letting Jax and other furry friends go for a swim in the Sports Complex’s outdoor pool. More than 60 dogs came and dogs of all types took to the pool to enjoy a fun day in the sun while staying cool. And all for a great cause – 20 percent of the proceeds from the event will be donated to the Humane Society of Tinton Falls.
