FIRA HAVEN – The fifth annual Tour de Fair Haven is set to take place Sunday with proceeds benefitting  the Foundation of Fair Haven Kids Bike Safety Programs.
The race, which will host more than 400 cyclists from the tristate area, will feature six different events over a 3.1-mile course. The tour is sanctioned by the USA Cycling Foundation with racers competing for $10,000 in prize money.
“What started as a grass-roots effort to bring competitive cycling to Monmouth County five years ago has grown into a community event that is embraced by our local government, businesses and residents,” race director Michel Berger said.
The first race will begin at 7 a.m. Sunday with the final race beginning at noon.
