Alyson and Charles Karoly

On a beautiful August evening, four days before the Jersey earthquake and one week prior to Hurricane Irene, Alyson Cavalere and Charles Karoly were married overlooking the sea, at an intimate ceremony at the groom’s family oceanfront home.  The joyful couple tied the knot as Kelly Madigan of Potomac, Maryland officiated.  A heartfelt, personal reading by Eric Fletcher inspired all present.

Maid of Honor, Erin McDonnell of Talent, Oregon, and bridesmaids, Kelli Fletcher of Cambridge, Massachusetts, Casey Benson of Ithaca, New York, Beth Pallo of Decataur, Georgia, and Julia Karoly (sister of the groom) of Venice, California, Best Man, Jay Beekman of Charlottesville, Virginia, and groomsmen, Nick Karoly (brother of the groom) of Kingston, New York, Terence Waclawik of Kailua, Hawaii, and Brad Egan of Boston, Massachusetts as well as flower girls, Jacqueline and Julia Cavalere (sister’s of the bride), along with family and friends, surrounded Alyson and Charlie.

The wedding party boarded two boats that sailed a few miles to the reception spot in North Beach at the home of close friends of the family.  Greeted by all their friends and family on the dock of this beautiful home, the ensuing evening was unforgettable.

The bride is the daughter of Donna Cavalere of Princeton, New Jersey, and Rick and Michele Cavalere of Doylestown, Pennsylvania.  The groom is the son of Michael and Janine Karoly of Tinton Falls, NJ, formerly of Fair Haven.

Alyson is a graduate of Hopewell Valley High School, Pennington, NJ and Ithaca College, Ithaca, NY.  She works as an account supervisor at Fleishman Hillard in Boston, MA.  Charlie graduated from Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School, Rumson, NJ and Ithaca College and works for the 2011 Stanley Cup Champion Boston Bruins.

The couple enjoyed an adventurous honeymoon in Cape Town, South Africa and Mauritius, and makes their residence in Somerville, MA.
