Christian Brothers Academy has a dominant athletic program and the NJSIAA’s ShopRite Cup reminds us every year. The high school athletics governing body in the state keeps track of overall team sports performance throughout the calendar year and, for the fifth consecutive year, the Colts are on top for Non-Public “A” schools in the state.

“With great humility, we proudly accept the NJSIAA ShopRite Cup again this year, highlighting what has been an already memorable athletic year,” said Vito Chiaravalloti, CBA director of athletics. “Winning the ShopRite Cup is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our talented student-athletes, as well as the exceptional coaches who lead them. We take pride in continuing a consistency of excellence across a broad array of sports.”

CBA won an amazing seven state championships in 2018-19. Four of the seven came from cross country and track. Soccer, swimming and golf filled out another shelf of trophies in the halls of the Lincroft school.

Trinity Hall won its first ShopRite Cup in just their sixth year competing athletically. The Non-Public “B” champs won a state title in the pool and had a sectional final appearance by the soccer team in the fall and a 17-5 record in girls lacrosse.
