The Under Armour All-American boys and girls lacrosse games featured the nation’s top 44 players competing at Johns Hopkins University in a nationally televised all-star showcase giving a prelude to the future stars of college lacrosse. That’s just one part of four days of competition featuring the top high school prospects in the country. Underclassmen get their chance to compete in a national tournament with the Underclass All-American games. Six local girls represented Team New Jersey and got the opportunity to show their skills in front nearly every Division I college coach in the country. Trinity Hall’s Haven Dora and RBC’s Molly Malone both started as freshmen in high school and played together for NJ’s Command Division team. The RFH duo of Sophia Barry and Chase Boyle teamed up with SJV’s Alexis Lauricella and RBC’s Reilly Traynor to play on New Jersey’s Highlight Division squad featuring the top sophomores and juniors in the state. The 2020 high school lacrosse season is months away, but the top players in our area are in the midst of the club season where recruiting is at the forefront. For the six players who competed in Baltimore, they were part of a huge weekend for the sport and were honored at halftime of the boys All-Americn game.
