Christian Brothers Academy had an uncharacteristic 14-11 season, yet still finished ranked sixth in the final state hockey poll. The Colts should bounce back with a lot of young talent returning.

MANASQUAN – The gym at Manasquan was electric with two passionate student sections, the stakes were as high as they come in Shore Conference basketball, and Rumson-Fair Haven had a score to settle.

OCEAN TOWNSHIP – Rumson-Fair Haven found itself down by 11 points at the midway point of the third quarter, staring at the end of its season. But 6-foot-9 senior Luke Cruz made sure the Bulldogs had more basketball to play.

The non-public brackets are out and it’s time to begin the road to MetLife Stadium. Red Bank Catholic and St. John Vianney both earned home games for the opening round.

RUMSON – Owen O’Toole engineered the Rumson-Fair Haven offense for three years, winning three sectional championships and finishing with a perfect 13-0 state title season and over 5,000 passing yards. So how do you replace one of the Shore Conference’s all-time great quarterbacks?

RUMSON – George Sourlis has been on both sides of the Ridge Road Rivalry. Now, the veteran coach is returning to Rumson-Fair Haven, following three years building Red Bank Regional into a Shore Conference power.

RUMSON – Championship teams usually need to face some form of adversity on the road to a title. For the Rumson-Fair Haven girls track team, it came in the sectionals when Willingboro upset the Bulldogs to take the top spot. But RFH turned the tables when it counted the most at the Group 2 state track meet at South Plainfield High School.

RUMSON –- Rumson-Fair Haven is used to seeing long touchdowns from the Bulldogs under the Friday Night Lights in the fall. Now, it’s happening in the spring, thanks to the RFH girls flag football team.

PISCATAWAY – Last year, Rumson-Fair Haven made history winning its first state wrestling championship. The Bulldogs didn’t have to wait long for the second.

MIDDLETOWN – It was like a postcard, with a snowy day on the Navesink River as the backdrop for outdoor hockey.
