Conte Sworn in as County Library Commissioner

The Monmouth County Library Commission welcomed its newest commissioner, Ann Marie Conte of Wall Township.
Conte is a member of the Wall Township Committee and served as mayor in 2011. She is also the township committee’s representative to the Wall Township Library.

Conte, a registered certified pediatric nurse, is the nurse manager of pediatric services at Jersey Shore University Medical Center’s K. Hovnanian Children’s Hospital in Neptune. She is responsible for the direction and supervision of the hospital’s pediatric inpatient unit, the pediatric ICU and the pediatric same day unit.
A mother of two, Conte was a member of the Wall Township Board of Education from 2003 to 2005 and served as its president in 2005. She was a member of the township’s board of adjustment from 2006 to 2008. Conte coached Pop Warner cheerleading for many years, leading her team to success in the national championships.
Conte, who replaces library Commissioner George S. Callas of Brielle, was sworn in at the Library Commission’s May meeting at the Eastern Branch Library in Shrewsbury. She will serve out Callas’ unexpired term, which ends Dec. 31.
