RED BANK – Fireworks are on the menu July 3 to kick off the Fourth of July celebrations along the Navesink River.

The Hackensack Meridian Riverview Medical Center Foundation Board of Trustees will once again present the Annual Family Fireworks in support of Hackensack Meridian Riverview Medical Center. As is tradition, the event will be held at the DiPiero home on the Navesink River at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, July 3.

“The pandemic has shown us just how important it is for our hospitals to be equipped with the best technology, that our staff is highly trained and educated, that our facility is modernized and that we are prepared for anything that comes our way,” said Timothy J. Hogan, FACHE, executive vice president, Care Transformation Services and president, chief hospital executive, Riverview Medical Center. “Philanthropy plays a pivotal role in the medical center’s ability to meet these vital needs. By attending this event, guests will ensure that our community continues to have access to the best care, close to home, while getting to learn more about the medical center and enjoy a fabulous fireworks display. We remain grateful to the DiPieros for their continued support and commitment to philanthropy.”

The family-friendly event will include a variety of food options, including food trucks, and guests will enjoy front row seats to the fireworks show, which kicks off at 9:30 p.m.

“This event delights attendees and the community alike,” said Jonathan Schultz, chair of the Riverview Medical Center Foundation Board of Trustees. “Fireworks on the Navesink River are a time-honored tradition, and being able to enjoy them while raising money for a great cause is an incredible feeling. Even those unable to join us in person will be able to view the fireworks from a variety of locations throughout the region.”

The funds raised from the Family Fireworks on the Navesink will support Riverview Medical Center’s greatest need fund, which provides the medical center with the flexibility to direct funds right to areas of the medical center where they will have the greatest and most immediate impact. Sponsors of this year’s event include Ray Catena; Crazees; The China Cabinet; Victor and Kari Rallo; Archer Law; The Kolber Family; Thomas and Nancy Gravina; Hill Wallack LLP; and Jones Day.
