Fred completed his bachelor’s degree from Rutgers University and worked for many years as a social worker for the Township of Middletown School District. He took great pride in his endeavors to help those families in need. He served his country as a tank commander in the U.S. Army Reserves. He was a voracious reader and was also a past trustee of the Middletown Library.
He was a great lover of animals and had a menagerie of pets spanning his lifetime. He enjoyed traveling the world and loved to regale his friends with tales of his adventures. His beloved Cobble Close Farm was his home for nearly 70 years.
In addition to his parents, Fred was predeceased by his lifelong partner and love of his life, Woodrow Bowne, and his brother Irving Centor.
