Gov. Murphy Orders Closure of Colleges, Pre-K, Bars, Eateries

With 178 cases in New Jersey and more expected, Monday, Gov. Phil Murphy ordered the closure Monday of all pre-K, K-12 schools, higher education institutions beginning Wednesday, March 18.

The latest cases include people from the age of 5 to 93, according to the state health department.

Also, all casinos, racetracks, theaters, gyms must close at 8 p.m. Monday, March 16 as well as non-essential retail, recreational and entertainment businesses.

Gatherings of 50 are banned, the governor said.
