Coach Ryan Patrick paid tribute to his two seniors who could not compete on the diamond due to the coronavirus shutdown.

Alyssa Curry

“Senior Alyssa Curry has been a key contributor to the Henry Hudson sports program throughout her career. After an ACL injury prevented her from playing her junior year, Alyssa was set to return and be one of the key players on the 2020 Hudson softball team. Prior to her injury Alyssa had played two seasons in which she compiled 50 hits, three homeruns, 40 RBIs, 42 runs, and posted a .390 batting average. Alyssa has always been hard-working and has been willing to do whatever she can to help the team win. She has been asked to play many different roles but has never complained. Alyssa has always led through her actions on the field. She works hard and is always willing to assist her teammates. During practice, she is constantly offering advice and picking up the spirits of her teammates. She has created her own story and really came into her own during her time with the program. Her worth ethic and positive personality are going to be missed. Congratulations to Senior #12 Alyssa Curry.”

Zoey Hagan

“Senior Zoey Hagan has been one of the most consistent players at Henry Hudson throughout her career. During her time at Hudson, she has compiled 85 hits, 10 homeruns, 75 RBIs, 67 runs, and posted a .467 batting average. She has been one of the team leaders and has always been a team-first player. She has a tremendous drive that could be seen with her preparation for each game. She has never shied from the big moment and always seemed to come up with the big hit during key points in a game. Though Zoey has posted great numbers throughout her career, her most important contribution is the support she has for teammates. She is the first to congratulate a teammate after a big moment and she is also the first to support a teammate when they are struggling. Her personality always lightens the mood during tense times and her laugh is contagious throughout the dugout. She has left a big mark on the Henry Hudson Softball program and she will be missed. Congratulations to Senior #37 Zoey Hagan.”
