Chris Bell was set to be the Hornets goalie in 2020.

“We are caught in a very strange time, with a lot of questions surrounding all aspects of life. When I found out that schools would not be reopening, I immediately thought of all students and student athletes that would be affected by this. My heart really breaks for all seniors, whether or not they are an athlete. Senior year (especially the last two months of senior year) is supposed to be one of the greatest times of anyone’s life. It pains me that this group is missing out on such a special time.

There are five individuals that I want to highlight as great young men, and future role models. David Burke, Christian Esposito and Chris Bell dedicated four years to the Holmdel Lacrosse program, were exceptional teammates, and an absolute joy to coach. Rob D’Aleo and Dom Brassington were both coming out for the team for the first time this year and were great additions to the program, and that was evident through the work they put in throughout the offseason and through the first week of practice. This group will be sorely missed by the coaching staff as a whole, but the underclassmen will be missing the leadership these young men brought to our lacrosse program over the years.

Again, my heart goes out to all seniors across the country, and especially these five whom I had the privilege to work with over the years. Thank you, Burke, Espo, Bell, Rob and Dom.”
