RUMSON – Holy Cross Academy honored its graduating class Friday, June 5, with a drive-in baccalaureate Mass and graduation. In most years, graduation would take place in a standing-room-only church full of family, friends and faculty. While this year looked very different, it was no less poignant for the parents and teachers of the graduates, and the graduates themselves, many of whom have attended Holy Cross since preschool. The outdoor ceremony included a benediction from Holy Cross Church’s Rev. Michael Manning and addresses by academy principal Mark DeMareo and student council president Sophia Ramos. The event was live-streamed for extended family and the community. Members of the Class of 2020 will attend Christian Brothers Academy, Trinity Hall, Red Bank Catholic, the Marine Academy of Science and Technology, Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High school and Henry Hudson High School in the fall.
