RED BANK – Pirates of all ages took over Marine Park Saturday, Sept. 28 for a costume contest, a funny skit by the Valhalla Pirates out of Point Pleasant, face painting and a blow-up obstacle course. A good number of people came in their best pirate garb, including one in a very convincing Capt. Jack Sparrow costume. Around 4 p.m. the pirates swaggered over to Red Rock Bar & Grill for grub, beer, ale and, perhaps, rum.
