One sheep is still missing from this manger scene outside Holy Cross Church in Rumson.

RUMSON — Borough police are hunting for the culprits in a Grinch-like theft that occurred over the holiday season at Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church.

Two sheep figures were taken from a large Nativity Scene in front of the church at 30 Ward Ave on Dec. 22. One sheep was returned but another is still missing. Police Lt. Scott Paterson described the figures as Demetz Sheep figures imported from Italy.
