WEST LONG BRANCH – Shore Regional High School has welcomed Dr. Jeanette Baubles as the new director of curriculum and instruction.
Prior to coming to Shore, Baubles was the director of curriculum and instruction for Plumsted Township School District. In addition, she has served as a superintendent, principal, vice principal and teacher.
Baubles earned a doctorate in educational leadership from Seton Hall University, a Master of Arts in administration and supervision from New Jersey City University, a Master of Arts in teaching from The College of New Jersey, and a Bachelor of Science in business administration from Villanova University.
The new director is looking forward to supporting both the academic and social-emotional aspects of learning for students while engaging their love of learning. She has always valued her teachers and encouraged a collaborative atmosphere where access to professional development is readily available.
“We need teachers to help teachers, to learn from each other,” she said. “I am here to facilitate that collaboration while creating a balance between instructional time and professional development.”
Baubles is not new to the Shore area and refers to herself as a “Jersey girl” through and through.
“I grew up in the Spring Lake area and have lived in our tight knit Monmouth County beach communities most of my life,” she said.
She feels a direct and close connection to the area, which will help her to serve our students well. Baubles also has worked with Shore Regional Superintendent Thomas Farrell. “I greatly admire his beliefs and values, which reflect ‘People Before Paper,’ ” she said.
Baubles chose this career path because she loves the kids.
“I want to make a true difference for the children I serve, and I am honored to be invited to do this in the Shore Regional High School District,” she said.
