LITTLE SILVER – Sickles Market hosted its Annual Artists’ Weekend Feb. 28 – March 1, a fun, relaxed event that took away the winter blues for many.
Artists of various skills presented work in several mediums ranging from watercolors, oils, pen and ink, textiles, recycled materials, photography and more.
Visitors strolled through Sickles’ greenhouse to view the art and take part in different demonstrations and art techniques, as well as buy art pieces. The event was free and open to the public, with 100 percent of proceeds from artwork that was sold was given directly to the artists involved.
“We are lucky to have so many talented local artists and Sickles is happy to allow them to exhibit in our greenhouse,” said Bob Sickles, third-generation owner of Sickles Market.  “Our greenhouse is stocked full of beautiful plants and the natural light is perfect for displaying art,” he added.
