RED BANK – Downtown Red Bank is heading into the holiday shopping season with renewed momentum as more than 22 businesses have opened in town since the beginning of the year, according to Mairin Bennett, executive director of the borough’s promotional agency RiverCenter.

RED BANK – Snowflakes may not be falling, but the spirit of the season is alive and well on Broad Street during “Holidays in July,” a festive celebration brought to life by the Red Bank RiverCenter in partnership with the beloved nonprofit Holiday Express.

RED BANK – Broadwalk, the seasonal pedestrian plaza, returns May 12, transforming a section of Broad Street into a vibrant community space through Sept. 30.

RED BANK – Mairin Bennett’s professional journey has been a winding one but as she settles into her new role as the executive director of RiverCenter, the borough’s promotional agency, Bennett is excited to contribute more ideas to enhance the thriving downtown.

The picturesque flower beds and bistro lighting of Broadwalk will be expanded this year to grace side streets in the downtown district through a RiverCenter beautification project.

The borough has entered into a shared service agreement with Red Bank RiverCenter, an agency that promotes the borough’s downtown businesses, to create a “parklet” at the intersection of Monmouth and Broad streets.

While many New Year’s resolutions are falling by the wayside, a new fitness center set to open next month is sticking with its goals.

The council reached an informal consensus at its latest meeting to open Broadwalk this season from May 15 through Oct. 1, but has yet to vote on the plan.

By popular demand, Red Bank RiverCenter, the borough’s promotional agency, has requested borough officials bring Broadwalk back from May 5 through Oct. 3.
