TOMS RIVER – For the 13th straight year, Christian Brothers Academy won the Shore Conference Indoor Winter Track team title, but this time, it didn’t come easy.

The Colts narrowly beat Toms River North – by two points – with two individual champions and Top 4 finishes in seven different events.

The Colts came from behind with a dramatic throw from Albert Yodakis in the shot put, vaulting CBA into the lead and setting the table to clinch it with a second place finish in the 4×400 relay. CBA has now won 28 Shore Conference winter indoor titles.

On the girls’ side, Rumson-Fair Haven fell just short in defending its team championship, finishing second overall by a mere three points to 2024 champ Toms River North. Rumson-Fair Haven’s Clemmie Lilley had an impressive double title run in the 400 and 800 meters. The junior had the meet record in both races; her 2:13.30 time in the 800 knocked Olympian Ajeé Wilson of Neptune, a 2012 graduate of the Academy of Allied Health & Science, out of the top spot.
