Clean Ocean Action’s Zipf to Speak to League

396

MANALAPAN – The League of Women Voters of Western Monmouth is sponsoring a talk by Cindy Zipf, executive director of Clean Ocean Action (COA), at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 10, at the Monmouth County Library Headquarters, 125 Symmes Drive.
As residents of coastal New Jersey, the League of Women Voters encourage everyone to be well informed about the precious and natural – but not unlimited –resource, water.
COA was formed in 1984 when the waters off the NY/NJ coasts were known as the “Ocean Dumping Capitol of the World.”  It is the only full-time ocean advocacy organization dedicated exclusively to the region.
Zipf has been a featured TED lecture speaker and is well known far beyond the boundaries of New Jersey and New York.
Light refreshments will be served.
Additional information about the league is available by calling 732-851-5764 or visiting LWVNJ.org.
