MIDDLETOWN – There can be no better place to hold a music concert on a crazy hot day than in the middle of a cool river. On Saturday, July 20, people from up and down the Navesink gathered at Blossom Cove for the annual flotilla Artiepalooza, a celebratory event held in memory of boating enthusiast Artie Natsis. The Moroccan Sheepherders played music from the deck of the boat Timeout. A hat was passed for David’s Dream and Believe Cancer Foundation, which provides financial and wellness support to families affected by a cancer diagnosis; participants contributed more than $2,000. Organizers said it was a record-setting crowd on the water, attracting approximately 400 boats and smaller craft, like kayaks.
