Lynn M. Gonnello, born in 1945 on Staten Island, passed away at home in Rumson Nov. 19, after a long illness.

Lynn graduated from St. Peter’s Girl’s High School in Staten Island, received her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing and earned her master’s degree in nursing from Monmouth University. She was the clinical director of the Cardiac Catheterization Lab at Monmouth Medical Center until her retirement in 2010. She made many friends while working at Monmouth Medical Center and was appreciated for her many years of dedicated service and contributions to the success of the lab. 

Lynn is survived by her beloved husband of 49 years Lawrence Gonnello; her devoted son Lawrence Gonnello and his wife Cara of Jupiter, Florida; along with her loving grandchildren, Julia, Matthew and Owen Gonnello. Also surviving is her loving sister Gail Hollywood; her adoring niece Dana Lynn Hollywood; six caring nephews, Stephen, Joseph, William and Kevin Harding and Billy and Robert Hollywood; as well as her 4-month-old grandnephew Jordan Thomas Hollywood; grandnephew Liam Harding; and grandniece Elizabeth Harding. Lynn was predeceased by her parents, William and Helen Harding, and her brother Joseph Harding of Staten Island. 

Lynn was so loved by her family and friends and the many patients whose lives she touched throughout her career in nursing. Although our hearts are broken, we celebrate her beautiful life and know that we will forever carry her in our hearts in everything we do. 

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation Friday, Nov. 30 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Thompson Memorial Home, 310 Broad St., Red Bank.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, Dec. 1 at 10 a.m. at Holy Cross Church, 30 Ward Ave., Rumson. Interment will follow at Fair View Cemetery in Middletown.
