LAKEWOOD – St. John Vianney had six individual champions at the Shore Conference Tournament, dominating the field and winning the wrestling team title for the second straight year.

The Lancers bounced back from a mid-week loss to Rumson-Fair Haven in a dual to win the team battle over Rumson-Fair Haven and Christian Brothers Academy. The Colts did not have their full lineup compete in Lakewood, but Brock Oizerowitz won at 190 and Tyler Palumbo reached the finals at 215. Rumson-Fair Haven had a pair of champions: Sonny Amato at 150 and Conor Delaney at 215.

Four Shore wrestlers who won state championships in Atlantic City a year ago won on Saturday. St. John Vianney’s Anthony Knox was named Most Outstanding Wrestler after winning his third consecutive Shore Conference individual title.
