HOLMDEL – A couple returning home Saturday around 11 p.m. were brutally attacked and beaten by assailants in their home.
The homeowners were “Real Housewives of New Jersey” television star Dina Manzo, 46, and her boyfriend, Dave Cantin, 37, according to the media sources quoting their attorney, Andrew B. Brettler.
Holmdel Police were summoned to a townhouse on Banyan Boulevard, in the Woods development off Laurel Avenue and Route 35, following a 911 call Saturday night reporting a home invasion robbery.
As of Wednesday, no arrests have yet been made in the incident, currently under investigation by Holmdel Police and the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office.
When the couple opened the front door of the residence, two masked individuals already inside the home rushed towards them. Cantin was struck several times with a baseball bat by one of the assailants, and Manzo was punched multiple times by the other assailant. They were then bound together in the home.
The robbers fled the scene with cash and jewelry, taken from the home. After they left, Manzo and Cantin were able to free themselves and call police. They were treated for facial injuries at the hospital and released.
Police request anyone with information to contact Det. Eric Hernando of the Holmdel Township Police Department at 732-946-2820 or Detective Wayne Raynor of the Prosecutor’s Office at (800) 533-7443.
