Dear Holmdel Residents,
My name is Marcy McMullen, and I am the Holmdel Republican Chairwoman and your neighbor. I am writing to address the heated political rhetoric that always seems to appear at election time in our town. Unfortunately, even this year, the rhetoric and falsehoods are coming from people who once claimed to be on our side. Let me be clear: Victoria Flynn and DJ Luccarelli are the only endorsed candidates of the Holmdel GOP and Monmouth County Republican Party.
Vicky has served as President of the Holmdel Board of Education for the past 3 years. As a leader and innovator, she supported the technological investments that created a future-ready-school district which enabled the school district to transition to a remote learning environment during this COVID crisis. She has a proven track record as a forthright, decisive community leader by promoting an honest and transparent dialogue with all community groups. Vicky is married and a mother of three girls. DJ Lucarelli, is a second-generation Holmdel resident who has spent his entire life giving back to the Holmdel community. DJ is a local businessman who has supported countless Holmdel organizations and charities. He was the Vice President of Dearborn Farms, a family business founded by his grandfather. D.J also serves on the Holmdel Zoning Board. He has an outstanding insight into the sound development that is needed to protect the special character of Holmdel. DJ and his wife are raising their three daughters in Holmdel. Our Township needs strong and decisive leaders like Vicky and DJ. They are genuine, honest and trustworthy people who have demonstrated their commitment to the Holmdel community. They have and always will put Holmdel First! Unfortunately, other candidates running on the ballot are trying to confuse you. Do not believe them and do not reward them with your vote. On July 7th, vote Column 1 for the only two candidates overwhelmingly approved by the duly elected Holmdel Republican County Committee, and endorsed by the Monmouth County Republican Party.
